We have been looking at different RVs and have entertained the thought of getting a new RV and it made us think what are the modifications we have done that are our favorite and would be top on our list to add to a new RV.  Enter our current list of favorite RV Modifications we would do again.

1. Solar and Inverter Setup

Our current setup is not top of the line by any means and I would even like to upgrade the system as far as the inverter and add a little to the capacity on the battery storage side. But that said our small system still provides flexibility and convenience to RVing that I really like. Our current setup is a very simple Pure Sine Wave Inverter with 2 Battle Born Batteries and 400 Watts of Solar on the roof with an MPPT Charge Controller. I would like to add one more Battle Born Battery and move to a much more feature packed Victron MultiPlus. I have a video on inverters that goes into more detail along with a separate video on our budget friendly solar package we did but I would definitely want to do a solar and inverter setup again and now that I have used lithium batteries it would be hard to go back.

2. Steady Fast Stabilizers

RV Stabilization to help it not shake.   This is one that helps tremendously when we are all setup using our RV to take out a majority of the shake and wobble you feel. This one is tops on my list because it is so fast and simple when setting up or packing up, it hardly adds any time. It is very similar to the popular JT Strong Arm which is very comparable. We tried other stabilizers and this one is tops on our list if you like a more secure feeling in the RV once setup.  We have a video on the walk through of how to install it and our review if you are interested.

3. Level Mate Pro

The Level Mate Pro helps so much when trying to find a level spot for your RV or dialing it in to make it level on blocks, Anderson Levelers or using the front jacks. For us it is the fastest way to level the RV fast and accurate.

4. R.O. Water Filter

I have an entire list of why the R.O. System is not good for RVers but I would do it again because it gives us consistently good quality water no matter where we go. We don’t have to use water bottles or jugs of water and we never have to go find a water dispensary. The reason why they are not good is they waste water, some say it removes too many minerals and it’s a pain to winterize. All that to say I would do it again for our situation.

5. Our Couch

When we switched out the couch it was possibly the biggest change we made as far as comfort for our family in the RV. We went from a couch nobody liked to 3 reclining seats that are comfortable enough to take a nap or watch a movie together as a family on a rainy day. If you want a discount code for the couch we did, go to RecPro.com and enter code:JAREDRV

6. Tankless Water Heater

We have loved our tankless water heater. It is the Girard Tankless Water Heater and while it is not the top of the line unit, it was a good budget water heater that has worked very well for us for the past few years.

7. Battery Monitor

Last but not least on our list is the battery monitor. We have the BMV-712 and love how we are able to customize it to any battery type and setup. It is fantastic knowing how much power you still have in your battery bank when you are using it and how much is going in when you are charging it. There is no more guessing
